The sniper rifle is now completely unusable.

It is now no longer usable, even at long range. That sway that was added? Yea, well now it takes 2-3 seconds for the rifle to shoot accurately. That is just ridiculous. Yes, I know, you wanted to put a stop to quickscoping, but in your quest to do so, you made the entire sniper weapon tier useless for those who like to use the sniper rifle the regular way.

Yes, I know, I know... you don't have to tell me: Sniper rifles are supposed to be used at long range. However, COD-style maps are simply not big enough for any kind of uber-realistic sniper combat. Realism should not be an argument here. COD is an arcade FPS. If we were to get onto the topic of realism, then there would be many other arguments about other aspects of the game. To put it simply: The maps are too small and there aren't enough large open spaces for any form of realistic sniper combat. The sway that was added compounds this problem. This essentially means that an Assault Rifle with a red dot sight is now more effective at long range than a sniper rifle, which I think we can all agree, isn't right at all.

When they said that they were stopping quickscoping, I didn't think that it would effect the entire aspect of sniping in COD and make it harder for those who like to use the weapon the way it was supposed to be used. I thought they would just cut Sleight of Hand Pro from the sniper classes and leave it at that. Hell, the majority of quickscopers you seen in MW2 wouldn't last a second without SOH Pro. So why oh why did you think it would be a good idea to add further handicaps to the weapon?

iv mastered the sniper now. i can quick scope close range. lol ur better off trying to noscope sum1 than quickscope them at mid-long range

i was playing against dfasta yesterday and on nuketown and you miss about 10 quickscopes because you can even get a single hitmarker

after about 10 mins we were starting to get used to it and you have to aim about a heads
length above what you normally would

I've found a solution. This is how to quick scope better. Get variable zoom on ur sniper and before u do anything zoom into the last zoom. Then close range it works but medium range it's hard
