upcoming ladders etc

hey wYb, hows it goin
im doing some recon work for sixaxis, and looking for your thoughts on future MW2 ladders and rules. no doubt there will be discussion on the sixaxis website itself, but hearing your thoughts here now will steer us in the right direction, and maybe get more response from people who arent as vocal on 6A.

what ladders would you like to see for mw2?
SND magic mod
X-mod all modes (like the tourny we are in now)
1v1 sniper league
3v3 team tact (first person view.. not the shitty 3rd person view)
anything else, like a killstreaks ladder, or CTF ladder?

whats rules would you like to see?
SND magic mod - same rules, 5v5 or 6v6
X-mod - ban tac inserts? ban commando pro? extend CTF halves to 10mins each? tdm with radar on?
1v1 sniper - miniscule health, radar on?
3v3 team tact - same as x-mod i guess

a ban of UMP45 across the board as well im thinking. feel free to share your thoughts on anything, and ill make a note of it. and if you have any ideas of ladders for other games, let me know that as well.. like UFC, or Red Dead Redemption or something like that

Personally, I've enjoyed having no killstreaks on with the XMOD tourney. It has made the game more "skillful" as such, and I felt has made us work more as a team. In the past, you could have a player or two camping at the back building killstreaks and winning the game like that.

Banning the UMP has been a positive, there is now a larger variety of guns used in cwars.

As for ladders, I'd say a similar ruleset to the current one being run for S1. It seems to work well (but perhaps ban riot shields) and most people have enjoyed it so far.

Im not a great sniper so I won't comment on that, but a 3v3 team tac would be great fun imo. With that, we could perhaps try having a maximum of 4-5 players on a team tac team. For larger clans, they could have multiple teams but players can't switch between teams or be in more than one.

And SND tourney like the previous one would work well. But perhaps restrict the guns that can be used. Eg, 2 AR's (say AK47 and Scar for example), 2 SMG's and 1 Sniper.

Current rules are good. Obviously ban Last Stand, all launchers, etc.

That's all I can think of atm, I'll add more later.

I think we should have a s&d 6v6 Ladder, Bring back the UMP as its my favourite gun :\

the team tac ladders in the past werent clan based.. so you could mix and match between everyone.. so we could have flawless, tox101, Peach and JohnnyB in one team.. and rosters are usually 5 or less like ya said.

i see what you mean about the SND as well, that would be more like promod styles.

im a fan of the ump as well.. i have 7 classes set up for it. but i think its been a really good move to ban it.. now theres a variety of vectors, mp5s and p90s.. as well as all the assault rifles.

so youd pretty much want the same thing as the jan/feb tourny we had

atm i love the XMOD rules as they are, the only things that i wouldnt mind changing is ban riot sheild and c4 becuase in HQ if a team has some1 with them riot sheild, c4, scavenger and danger close they can just throw a c4 in the hq(which is usually aways indoors) and kill every1 inside of it with ease. also i think TDM should be taken out altogether as it just promotes camping, even if radar was on.

the no ump45 rule is excellent becuase now every1 is using a variety of guns. also 10 min rounds is a good idear in CTF because now with 5mins round it just a little to short. i have no problem with tac insertions so i dont think they should be banned.

as for the ladders for mw2 i would love the SnD magic mod to make a return and a ladder with X-MOD rules. if there was two ladders 1 with killstreaks and the other without(X-MOD), i quite sure most of us wYb members would rather play on the ladder with no killstreaks.

the 3v3 teamtac is a nice idea but personaly id rather 4v4.

there has been a few people complaining about riot shields and C4.. i havent had it done against me personally yet so its funny to hear.. stupidly annoying though id imagine.. specially crouched in the corner
